Over the past years ThaiAm Entertainment has experienced phenomenal growth. This is due to the company philosophy of providing top quality entertainment at fair and reasonable prices. While ThaiAm Entertainment is ever mindful of the needs of their clients, they are just as concerned about the needs of their talent. Being fair to all concerned is the reason for ThaiAm’s success. Paul’s wife Sim has played a very important role in the development and growth of ThaiAm Entertainment. Therefore it seemed only natural for her to start her own company when ThaiAm Entertainment got so big it would be easier to manage if there were two companies.

Q. What is a regular booking?

A. A regular booking consists of a contract for entertainment in which the entertainer performs with a minimum of one day a week for minimum of 3 months. Special events and one time bookings are negotiated on a case by case basis. Regular bookings require the venue to provide an adequate sound system if applicable.

All bookings for Christmas and New Years are negotiated.

Q. How much is a sound system for a full band?

A. Sound systems are based on location of the venue and the needs of the band (i.e. a 7 piece band requires a larger system than a 5 piece band). On average you can typically expect to pay between 12,000 and 15,000 THB for a sound system. Sound systems are turn key, we will have them delivered, setup, monitored during the performance, broken down and taken away after the show.

Their first major collaboration came in January 2005 when they joined forces with Rotary International to produce a very successful Tsunami Aid Concert to aid Thailand’s victims of the devastating tsunami of December 26, 2004. In November of 2008 Sim Hawkins opened Island Entertainment Ltd., Part., not to compete with ThaiAm Entertainment, but to support ThaiAm Entertainment. Through the many contacts she has made over the past eight years Sim is able to attract new talent to Island Entertainment. All the excellent talent our clients need is available through both companies. All of our very talented entertainers are also promoted through both companies.

Island Entertainment is owned by Somsri “Sim” Hawkins, wife of Paul. Sim is well liked and respected by everyone who works with her. Sim, a citizen of Thailand works closely with government officials including the Mayor’s Office, The District Officer as well as Immigrations Police, Royal Thai National Police and the Labor Department. Island Entertainment makes every effort to ensure all of our foreign talent is 100% legal to work in Thailand. Sim makes sure nothing slips by her. Sim is also the main point of contact for all Thai aspects of the company including the many Thai bands and dance troupes as well as those venues having Thai managers in charge of entertainment.



Finding great entertainment just got a lot easier.

Rino Entertainment & ThaiAm Entertainment, southern Thailand’s premier talent agencies have formally joined forces to make finding top quality entertainment much easier. This partnership will also give their respective entertainers much more exposure. This cooperative working agreement is not new for Rino Entertainment’s Ritchie Newton and ThaiAm’s Paul Hawkins. They have collaborated together for several years on some major outdoor concerts.

Their first major collaboration came in January 2005 when they joined forces with Rotary International to produce a very successful Tsunami Aid Concert to aid Thailand’s victims of the devastating tsunami of December 26, 2004. Ritchie and Paul next collaborated in January of 2006 when they once again joined forces to produce a “Legends in Concert” show which ran for three (3) months on Koh Samui. This was a major production with a seven (7) piece band backing up six (6) tribute artists performing such acts as; Madonna, Tina Turner, Elton John, Tom Jones, Robbie Williams, Michael Jackson, the Blues Brothers and of course the king… ELVIS. Ritchie and Paul recently produced their second charity concert in April of this year. Working in concert with the Rotary Club of Koh Samui an 8 hour open air concert raised much needed funds to support Temple Schools on the island. After enjoying much success in the past on specific projects, Rino Entertainment and ThaiAm Entertainment will be working together as a matter of business in the future. Each agent will share his talent pool with the other. Rino Entertainment will concentrate in their strongest areas of southern Thailand and promote not only talent represented by Ritchie Newton, but also the talent represented by ThaiAm Entertainment. Rino Entertainment is very strong in Phuket, Krabe and Pattaya City. ThaiAm Entertainment now armed with the talent represented by Ritchie Newton will continue to work in the areas where they dominate; Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Koh Pangang, and Hat Yai.

The real winners with this agreement will be the clients who are looking for talent. Contact either agency and you automatically have access to the talent represented by both. Additional winners are the talent being represented by both booking agents who now receive twice the exposure.
